Camper Fire & Stand-by Transfer

Sat, Jan 9th, 2010 4:11:00 pm - At 16:21 on Jan 9, 2010 - LCWC dispatched station 4-5 to the area of Route 30 and Hensel Rd (Salisbury Twp) for a reported Vehicle Fire. Safety Officer 4-2 (Kennedy) was in the area and reported it was a 5th wheel camper on fire at Roamers Retreat.

Engine 4-5-2 arrived on scene with a crew of five and deployed a handline to make the intial stop. Tanker 4-5 crew's pulled the second hand-line as a back-up and also supplied Engine 2. Crews quickly contained the fire, although it was a complete loss inside.

State Police Fire Marshal James Dewalt was called out to the scene due to the unknown orgin of the fire.

Crews returned available around 18:30hrs.

While cleaning up from the fire, Engine 4-5-2 was dispatched to stand-by at Station 4-9, while they were at a dwelling fire on Cambridge Rd. KFC returned available around 23:00hrs.
